Bike the C-Bus

Columbus is cool! A local organization promotes a healthy way to travel in and around the city -“Bike the C-Bus,” a bicycle tour to show off the capitol city. About 400 people have signed up already for the city wide tour.

The group set up rest stops during the 30 mile tour including Franklin Park Conservatory's community garden and the Audubon Park downtown. Ray George, “Bike The C-Bus” event coordinator say, "I'm hoping that they feel more comfortable riding in the city and see the changes going on in within the city.”

Riders will tour segments of the King Lincoln District, Woodland Park, Olde Town East, Downtown, Short North Arts District, Italian Village, Harrison West, Victorian Village, Arena District, Franklinton, Brewery District and German Village.

The entire ride will cover approximately 30 miles over four segments and featured stops that highlight change that is occurring in these neighborhoods. A portion of the proceeds are donated to local charities.

The coordinator also said the goal was to make "Bike the C-Bus" into the region's premier cycling event celebrating design, health and fitness, and urban lifestyles. "Bike the C-Bus" is considered a ride and not a race and offered a variety of course options to accommodate everyone from recreational riders to hard-core fitness enthusiasts. http://bikethecbus.com/ride/
